Rajesh krijgt bijzonder slecht nieuws: hij staat op het punt het land te worden uitgezet door de immigratiedienst. Zijn wetenschappelijk onderzoek heeft immers nog altijd niets opgeleverd. Sheldon kan gelukkig verhinderen dat Raj moet terugkeren naar India: hij biedt hem een job aan als zijn assistent. Het komt echter al snel tot een confrontatie.
